About Stuart
Stuart is an experienced artist printmaker. His images are colourful and combine a variety of elements. He uses various techniques including linocut, lithography and monoprinting. Much of his work is created on his own hand-made paper made from recycled materials and plant fibres. His works include gay imagery as well as natural objects and abstract elements.
He completed his foundation study in Lowestoft in 1985, going on to take Fine Art Printmaking at West Surrey School of Art and Design (at Farnham). He completed a post-graduate diploma in Fine Art and later his MA (distinction) at Camberwell School of Art, finishing in 1992.
He worked in London for many years and three years ago he moved to Brighton, where he lives with his partner, Mark (who will also be showing some photographs).
Stuart has shown in exhibitions in London and world-wide. His work is in numerous private collections.
